I am trying to calculate revenue based on water usage for a laundromat I want to purchase. Does anyone know where I can find the manufacturer specifications for water usage based on make and model? My search is turning up empty.
The following units are in the mat I am looking at.
Whirlpool Toploaders
Wascomat W74
Wascomat W75
Wascomat W125
Wascomat W630 -

The manufacturer websites have info on their current models but I can’t seem to find older models. The best resource I found was an IRS publication that is used to audit laundromats. Here is the link to it for those who find this thread in the future…

I have the same problem, my machines are all older and I am struggling to find this information. A key sign to retool if possible. I am going to retool in 2 or 3 phases.

It’ll take some time investment, but buy a few in line water meters and hook them up to the supplies of each model of machine you have. Supply hoses are the same threading as a hose spigot on the side of your house, Zero the meters, empty the coin boxes. Next time you empty the coins, read the meter, figure out how many cycles were done using the coin box contents and divide. Obviously not the easiest, but if the data doesn’t exist and you have to create it for yourself, this is pretty passive. Only useful if you already have the machines and are looking to retool.
