I will be converting a closed Zombi laundromat and adding a professional Fluff and Fold. I want to add a profit sharing component to the Fluff and Fold employee program. I feel inspired to empower people to respect, honor and own their work product and benefit from excellence! They will be employees and I thought some one might have a method that has worked for this purpose?

We would pay a commission structure to the employee who folded the order. If there were any issues with the order they would not receive that commission. We paid 10% of the order before sales tax and paid once a month.

How do you track the folder? Are you using a software program that does this? What state are you in? I don’t believe that the service of laundry processing would be taxed in Nevada?

I am in Wisconsin, wash and fold is taxed here. We have the folder print a receipt from the POS that has all the pertinent information on it. They then put those receipts in an envelope in their safe. We use ShopKeep POS but there are better systems out there for wash and fold that will track this for you.

Thanks. I will ask the Tax Department regarding the tax. Have you reviewed any of the “better systems” which would you want?
