My name is Jason Dodge, I just recently discovered the podcast and I think Jordan is on to something big here. I only listened to a couple so far but I am adding this to my playlist, great content!

I’m the author of How To Find, Evaluate and Buy a Laundromat by Jason Lombardo (pen name). I’ve been in the business for 14 years now and I am in the process of building a new location. This is my first time building from scratch. Just when I thought I knew a ton about this industry, I decide to build new and realize I still have so much more to learn.

Jason thank you for being so active on the forum. Where can I get a copy of your book?

On Amazon of course. One quick note, in this book I go on about it being better to buy and remodel vs building new. Well, I’m building new right now. I guess opinions change.

Hi, Jason. Can’t wait to check out your book.

Which make/model of machines do you like best?

              Oscar,
This is a tough question to answer. Most are good but a few have had issues over the years but those were mostly a specific model of a specific brand. I only have experience with Maytag, Huebsch, Speed Queen and Dexter Dryers. My new store is Speed Queen based mostly off that they are a Wisconsin based company and the technology is awesome with their touch screens and insights. This is really the Ford vs Chevy question, they are both good vehicles and its mostly personal opinion as to which people choose.

You really need to do your research and see what you like best. Most are really good and super reliable.

Listened to your podcast earlier today and it’s a great story. I was actually telling my “real job” boss about it a little bit. Thanks for taking the time to share your story and advice with all of us newbies!
