Forming LLC with LegalZoom

Hello folks. Has anyone used LegalZoom or other similar service to create your LLC? The price is low but I am wondering if this is really a viable option versus spending more money to hiring an attorney to create the LLC. Thank you for your input.

I don’t know what state you’re in. In Wisconsin we go to WDFI, Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions and file for $130.00 online in like 5 minutes. I don’t think you need an attorney for this, however, I’m not qualified to give legal advice, its really easy though. I would consider an attorney for an operating agreement. I would consider talking with your accountant to make sure that a LLC is the best business identity for your tax situation.

Legal Zoom is a viable option and I know people who have used it to form their LLCs and S-Corps. But I think Jason is right. Consider talking to an accountant to make sure you’re setting up the right entity.
