Got a weird email threat—looking for advice

Woke up to a bizarre message this morning. The sender says they’ve hacked my webcam and have embarrassing footage of me. They even mentioned one of my old passwords, which creeps me out. They’re asking for Bitcoin to stay quiet. Not sure what to believe—is it an empty threat or should I take it seriously? Any advice from someone who’s handled this before?
